We want you to have an experience of a lifetime on your on-road adventure! Do you part by coming adequately prepared for your Slingshot tour.
Trip Length
Slingshot Rentals are rented in time slots of 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours. Plan 1 additional hour for pre-ride check-in and post-ride check-out processes. If guests don’t turn equipment in at the specified time on reservation, late fees will apply.
Riding Attire
To get the most enjoyment out of the ride, we recommend wearing long pants, closed toe shoes and a long sleeve shirt or sweatshirt. Dress in waterproof layers as temperatures may vary through the hills or due to warm to cold rain showers. It is an open-air vehicle!
What’s Included?
Your rental comes with the vehicle, complimentary helmet, digital map, and a basic damage waiver ($1500 max out of pocket).
Meeting Place
Guests will check-in at Adventure Pro Outdoors located at 1299 E. Canal St. Nelsonville, OH 45764. Guests are REQUIRED to check-in 30 mins prior to your scheduled reservation time to go over waiver, basic training, and to get fitted for riding equipment. If guests are not checked in 15 minutes prior to their scheduled ride, guests will likely have to reschedule their trip or forfeit the amount paid.

Hocking Hills is known for its amazing caves and waterfalls at Ash Cave, Cedar Falls and Old Man’s Cave. Visit places like Lake Hope or Lake Logan to catch a beautiful sunset over the water. Stop at some of our favorite local restaurants for a scrumptious bite.
Slingshot Rental Rules & Policies
At Adventure Pro River Trips safety is our #1 concern. We do the best to ensure the safety our customers. We expect our customers to practice safe canoeing, kayaking, and tubing on the Hocking River. Renting this equipment can be potentially dangerous, however if you listen to the experts in outdoor fun you will have an enjoyable experience.
Payment
Guests are required to pay in full at the time of booking. Payment is to be made with a credit card. Rental Rates are per Slingshot Rental not per person. If one person rents the Slingshot, the price remains the same!
Insurance
Rental rate has a $25 Insurance Fee built into the price of each rental. If there is damage done to the vehicle, the customer will be responsible for the first $750 of damages/repairs. Vehicles will be inspected upon return. Any damages may incur a charge up to $750 to the credit card on file.
Responsible Driving
Guests are required to drive responsibly. A valid driver’s license is required. No excessive speeding. Guests are responsible for any potential tickets or fines for not abiding traffic laws. Absolutely NO alcohol or drug possession or consumption before or during use while in possession of the Slingshot rental. All Ohio traffic laws apply!
21 years or older
The primary renter must be 21 years or older with a valid drivers license to rent any Slingshot. Additional drivers must be 18 years of age. Driver’s licenses are required during check-in processes.
Minimum Age Allowed
The minimum age allowed is 6 years old. Passengers should be able to comfortably sit in the Slingshot seat with both feet on the ground.
Cancellations & Refunds
All cancellations prior to 72 hours of scheduled rental will receive a 100% refund minus a 10% cancellation processing fee. Cancellations within 72 hours of scheduled rental forfeit the amount paid. Before 72 hours of scheduled rental, guests have the ability to receive a voucher code for a future trip or to reschedule. We strictly adhere to this policy.

What’s it like to drive a Slingshot?Driving a Slingshot is as easy as driving a car, but it’s loud and rev-happy like a motorcycle. With 173-hp, the Slingshot has some get up and go with it. Only sitting 6 inches from the ground.
Are the Slingshot Rentals automatic or manual transmission?We have automatic Slingshots making it easy to cruise in style throughout southeast Ohio.
What is your late return policy?Slingshot are expected to be turned in at the time listed on the reservation. If customers are late returning their rental, there will be a $100 late fee per hour charged to the card on file.
Do you have to have a motorcycle license to operate a Slingshot?No! In Ohio you are not required to have a motorcycle license, but a valid driver’s license is required.
Are the Slingshot Rentals guided?No, our guests will go on a self-guided tour through southeast Ohio. However, our team of experts is more than happy to provide you information about the local area, attractions & the most popular destinations. Read more about the Windy 9 routes!
Are there waivers to fill out for our trip?Yes, all participants are required to fill out a waiver prior to departing on their self-guided Slingshot tour. Guests can sign an electronic copy of the waiver prior to arrival. This saves time during the check-in processes!
Are we required to refill the tank?Yes, customers will be responsible for refilling the Slingshot with premium fuel before coming back to Adventure Pro Outdoors for their check-out processes.
How long will the credit card hold/damage deposit show on my account?It takes approximately 7-10 business days to show the authorization voided. If damage has occurred, it may take longer after the damage has been investigated. It will appear as “pending” on the account.
