When you will receive a waiver email 12 hours before your trip. Having this waiver signed beforehand saves a lot of time and hassle before your trip! Everyone must sign the waiver before getting on the water, those 16 and under must have a guardian to sign.
PARKING
We highly recommend CARPOOLING when visiting on weekends! We have several rows of parking in our lot, but we do ask that guests try to park close together to maximize our parking area! Parking is for our guests at APO, guests should not park at our 3 mile drop in unless otherwise instructed!
PADDLES
We have a limited number of tube paddles, they are available to rent for $5. We recommend tubers take paddles to get through the slower spots and to avoid any obstructions. Guests are welcome to bring their own paddles as well. Typically 2 paddles are suitable for every 4 – 6 people.
PFDs/Life Vests
All individuals under 12 must wear a PFD on the tubes, for anyone over 12 it is optional. If you are not a strong swimmer we encourage using one during your trip!
SHOES
We highly recommend wearing water shoes on your trip. It is a natural river which can mean sticks and rocks and other hazards may be under the surface! We also have a gravel exit & parking lot that can make being barefoot painful.
HYDRATION
You can get dehydrated quickly, even on a tube! Be sure to bring water or a hydrating beverage to take on the river with you! Being out in the sun can dehydrate you quickly without you noticing.

Bring them back to our facility. Please be mindful that some property along the river is private. We ask that you remain on the river & sandbars.

Our most popular Hocking River tube rentals are our red and blue tubes. Tube type goes on a first come first serve basis. Children 12 and under must ride in a tube with a bottom. Red tubes have a bottom and blue tubes have cupholders. Most of our tubes have a back rest and handles. We have had guests up to 400lbs comfortably tube. Please ask our staff about what equipment may be right for you.
Cooler Carrier
carriers can hold a 25/50qt cooler snugly. Many guests use it as a basket for bags, shoes, and other items. We recommend bringing a cooler with hydrating beverages and snacks because you will be on the Hocking River anywhere from 2 – 4 hours, depending on the current and if you stop at any of the sand bars.
Equipment is sent out in no particular order. We have equipment in different colors, brands, and types. We do not refund because customer doesn’t like the color, brand, or type of equipment. We regularly inspect our equipment to ensure that all our boats and floats are operable before sending customers out on the Hocking River.
